i feel i must bring a potential scam to your attention.
I found a black 2007 Trtiumph Thruxton up for sale for £2000, yes too good to be true. So i proceeded with caution.
https://motoring.friday-ad.co.uk/Adref/YI949H64E/Web/FullAdDetails.asp
I've reported it to friday Ad and think they've deleted it and blocked the user.
The seller advertised the bike in Portsmouth (obviously targetting people in my area) but when making contact it's in Scotland
I beleive he relies on peoples desire to grab a bargain, the seller works on an oil rig and is not contactable except via email, he requests money sent via moneygram as the bikes is in secure shipping with all documents ready to go. On payment of a deposit the bike will be shipped. At this point i gave up,
I then found another Thruxton in silver similar low price another site https://www.ukbike.com/ similar but a silver one, very low price again and so i emailed the seller this time in London, i used a totaly different email address and fictional name, guess what the same seller responded to the ad and also stating the bikes ready for shipment in Petershead. Someone is going to lose serious money over this, and i beleive the adverts have been running for some time, the seller goes by the name of Micheal Ashwell.
Beware
I';m not saying he is a scammer (well i am) but things just aint quite right.
And don't ever buy a Thruxton they're crap. I have to thank Micheal if i ever meet him.
Anyway off to pick up my Triumph Daytona 650 on Saturday |
