I'm sure I'm not the only one that has noticed The Moon tonight.

Had to get out and snap some pictures as I've pinched my sister's old DSLR and for the last few days I've been taking pictures of everything. Finally, something of slight interest.

I tried a few different shutter speeds and this one turned out the best.

I hadn't noticed it and I'm more impressed you got it smack in the middle of the pic tbh... Laughing

What can I say? Laughing

I was actually quite surprised too considering I had the camera on a mini tripod balancing on a bin.

That was fully zoomed in. I'm using a Fujifilm Finepix S5600 which is a little dated now. Takes fine pictures though and it cost me nothing.

If you want a close up view go outside Wink

Even better then if it cost you nothing, the missus bought me a camera for my last birthday, sits in a draw as I forget I've got it untill I need it, keep taking it on rallies and taking pictures of nothing note worthy tbh...

My Dad was well into his photography, had cameras for this and that, loads of lenses and a dark room, when he passed away I got rid of it all ( regret it now though ) as I had no interest in it, all apart from some tiny James Bond style camera that I've never used either...

Ya, I noticed yesterday it was a full moon, looked fab when I were coming home from work.

I like a nice moon, makes me mellow.

I just tried taking another picture with my sister's other, supposedly better camera that has 18x optical zoom. Unfortunately, I couldn't get it to focus on the moon though and it was using an unbelievable amount of battery power.

It's a blue moon (two full moons within a calendar month).

There was a partial eclipse at half seven, but it's a bit late to point that out. Neutral

It's an SLR-Like camera or advanced digital camera according to Wikipedia.

I just assumed it was a DSLR.

It most certainly was a cracking moon last night, it looked beautiful behind the thin cloud at one point. Tried to get a few piccies with my mobile but it didn't turn out.
