Came off my bike this morning. Landed on my right shoulder before flipping over onto my left side then to my back.

I was on the way to work so carried on where I had to shovel shit and straw and drive a tractor with no power steering which made my already numb arms worse.

Over the day they have gotten steadily worse and now it is agony every time I move my shoulders. I can type easy enough with my arms from the elbow down resting on my desk but say I go to light a fag or have a drink I forget about the pain and suddenly FVCK!

No visible bruising and I have tried moving them about earlier on today and I can fully move them around but it is now too painful to move properly.

I don't get it, if there is no bruising and it is not broken what is it? It is mainly my right shoulder which I landed on.

Thanks

I may be very wrong but could it be whiplash on a shoulder?

Just a guess.

Judging by the lack of bruising (or slow development of bruising) id say its probably just soft tissue damage...

You said you can type with your elbows resting on the desk? is there any pain when you stand with your arms by your side?

Whenever I move pain builds up then dies down slowly when I stop moving.

If I stand up and lower my arms, then it finally becomes ok

Make sure you go to the hospital, I suffered for over 2 years with the effects whiplash had on me as the hospital missed it as I am double jointed and assumed because I could move my neck I was fine. Then followed migraines and throwing up for years. Fine now though I got help after complaining for years about my neck to docs who wouldnt believe me and my posture was messed up from it.

My pain is isolated from shoulder down to elbow on both sides but more major on the right hand side. It hasn't affected my posture but if tomorrow it is like this or worse I will go and see someone. The rest of me is fine apart from a grazed knee.

According to this

https://www.sportsdoctor.com/articles/muscle.html

I think if anything it is between a 1st and 2nd degree tear if that is what it is.

I haven't bothered due to the pain. Laughing
It is pretty bad this morning, my left arm is a lot better but my right one still hurts.

I reckon I can still ride so I am going into college today.

Been to college today and it has got better. Still can't move it much but no pain in general, only when I move it around a lot or try to pick something up.

Thats exactly what I was going to say except with a few more adjectives:

Go to a fucking doctor you fucking idiot.

Why is it people persist (when they have a serious medical ailment) on asking the members of a motorcycle forum for advice when clearly the only people actually qualified to give the right advice are actually in the A and E department of the local hospital.

Its like asking for structural engineering advice from a florist or something. Jeez. Sort your lives out! Rolling Eyes

Like I said, if it was the same or worse this morning I would have gone to see someone but as it seems to be sorting itself out what is the need. I can move my shoulders better. Can't pick heavy things up but I reckon after a few days it will be better. Probably pulled the muscle quite a bit.

I have soft tissue damage in my right shoulder, stops me from lifting my arm right up.

Also have 'soft tissue' damage in my right leg, but physio said what she thinks is happening is that the tendon is flicking back and forth over the bone, causing the pain.

I feel your pain dude...

It's too late to worry about a doctor now IMO, it's already started the healing process so alternate hot and cold presses. Arnica.

Just take paracetamol and ibruprofen every four hours, but stagger them so you take one 2 hours after the other, therefore always got pain releif.

And for everyone who hasn't done it, I can recommend riding to hospital, explaining the situation and immediatly getting rushed for a ct scan on a bed, people look at you funny.

Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better.

But if you haven't had a wank before the weekend you need to
see a doctor(or a nurse Razz ).
