spare helmets

looking to get a spare helmet for general use by others on my bike. Couple of questions.

1 - size. Now I want this to be able to fit women from my office (all above board I assure you as well as some of my larger headed mates. Would a larger helmet be ridiculous on a small woman or would there be some way they could wear it??

2 - price. Whats the major (non-design) issue with cheap helmets as long as they meet all the standards/labels etc Obviously I'm not spending the £350+ I did on my own Arai here - plus whats too little to pay for a helmet online - I want a bargain but dont want to buy anything dodgy (and I know about no second hand ones).

3 - best way to carry a spare helmet on the bike?? Is this even practical?

1. Try to find one with removable padding.

2. Nothing wrong with them. usually design is crap on them and the build quality e.g. visor, breath guard thingy, strap etc tend to be shittier than say a £400 arai. Protective qualities, well although sharp

3. On the pillion seat with a cargo net type arrangement. If you are not carrying a helmet all the time then on your elbow is easiest.

Nitro can be cheap and they are a big brand. They are probably the cheapest well known brand anyway. £30 will get you one.

Rip out the padding inside and you can buy inserts. Just buy friggin loads and adjust for each person.
