And it's RWD, revs higher than the teg, is faster than the teg is the opposite shade.

Can anybody guess what it is yet?

No, not an S2k! A CBR600FW Very Happy

Officially loving it Smile

Jobs - take the sticker off the front screen, which is a bit annoying as it's on the inside. Also got to sort out an ever so slightly intermittent tacho, which hopefully won't be too much of a ballache. Other than that she's very sweet indeed Smile

Hope you like Thumbs Up

Lol!

I paid a little over the odds for it but it's in the colour I really wanted, and the condition overall is pretty damn good. It's got FSH too, and the guy who sold it me clearly looked after his bikes well.

Looking forward to putting some miles on her Cool

What do you think to the Integra? I've had a Civic VTi 1.6 and a Prelude (JDM yo!) 2.2 vtec in the past and they were both great, but I've always fancied a proper Type-R Cool

Bike looks cool too Wink

Cheers Smile

The teg's done me well - it's been totally reliable, very economical (in fact it averages 35mpg pretty much), practical in that it's a hatch so we can get stuff in the back of it, reasonably comfortable, etc etc etc - the list of its plusses goes on.

About the only criticism I can make of it is that, if you're just driving normally, it's very dull and just feels like a 90's civic. I had an R32 before this, and it always felt a little more special.

Great cars though, I'd recommend one Smile

Cool Cool

Pity they hold their value so much, its hard to justify that much money for a '90's car when you can get a Type-R 'breadvan' for that kind of money now Confused

They are 'better' than the breadvans though - mate of mine has an 03 plate CTR and he loves my integra compared. Not that the CTR's a bad car, it's just not as raw and involving Smile

(Inverted commas on the 'better' because I guess it depends on that you want out of a motor - personally I'd rather be in his civic for a trip up north on the motorways because it's got soundproofing and a 6th gear, for example.)

They're just a bit different, almost iconic and hold their value well because of it. That said, mine's now worth about £4k max I'd have thought, which is almost £2k off what it was worth 18 months ago. This sort of depreciation is attaching to most cars nowadays though.

Oooh completly factory '96. Lush! Just like mine. ABS and AC too! Very Happy (my seats were cleaner Wink)

Have you got it decatted? That and lightened fly were the best mods (along with the 282mm 'lude brake conversion. Do that if you think your brakes are shit).

Yup, completely factory - the only slight mod is some wacky japanese fool's fitted a turbo timer but I don't mind that as it means I can warm the car up in the garage Laughing

Nope, not de-catted - it's completely stock. TBH the brakes are ok for the road, I don't have much of a problem there - for the track it may be different though, I'll have to see what's what when it goes out there.

Just to update this thread.

Had the bike a good few months now and have put about 2k on her since having her, which Im quite surprised about since she only gets used for fun really! Shocked

It's been great, nice and reliable, comfortable, reasonably economical and wicked fun to chuck about and hit 10k+rpm on Very Happy

Went out today and met up with a mate. Got him to take some pics of me on the move. Unfortunately, he wasn't much of a photographer and couldn't get the hang of my camera (which is ironic because it's fairly much idiot proof, which must say something about him lol) so there were a lot of shots that blurred or were just too far away for them to be interesting. As a result, the only ones I got that were any good were the ones of me slowing down as they didn't blur across the screen Mr. Green

Anyway, here's the results, the ones that didn't come out too sad Thumbs Up

That's me, all the way up there!!
https://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk301/arryR32/IMG_1115.jpg

And just to prove to him he was being a total flid with my camera, took some of him in the gaymobile on the move Thumbs Up

https://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk301/arryR32/IMG_1127.jpg

Hope you enjoy the pics Thumbs Up

Aww,that's lush! Thumbs Up

I love CBR600's. I think the older models like that are actually nicer looking in some ways than the newer ones. I'm loving the colours,I bet it shines in the sun Smile

I've been pillion on an S reg, exactly the same as that but black and orange,it was one of the nicest and comfortablest (if that's a word) bikes I've ever been pillion on.

Yeah, they're really comfy all round - did nigh on 4 hours on it the other day, through M25 / A414 standstill traffic (bloody M1 to A10 shut!!) complete with a heavy backpack and tank bag and still didn't feel too jaded when I stopped Smile
