which is best dual-sport bike?? 250cc or less??

hi ppl. i need help on buyin a new bike. i need to know which is best on the current market. i been told, dt125r - kmx/klx - ktm's.. but other ppl argue. i want one either 250cc or less. jus a few ideas would be cool.
its gonna be used for green lanin' - the odd off-road track use. n everyday road use..

Sounds like something like a Yamaha XT225 (also the TTR250) fits the bill.

Not especially powerful but very newbie friendly, easy to ride.. copes well with off/on road use and good for vertically challenged people.
