you have a problem somewhere. Don't know what it is tho. Sell it, get a bigger bike.

Are you sure that someone hasn't sneaked a Firestorm engine in it? Razz Performance, noise, and fuel economy sounds about the same Wink Laughing

Check for leaks and stuff. Does the bike vibrate a lot or make strange sounds when you rag it?

As Robby said, sell it and get a bigger bike.

Yeah, you can't go too wrong with an engine rebuild, especially if it's done 20k miles already.

Whilst you've got the engine out, it will give you the chance to check out the condition of all the fasteners, hoses, wiring etc.

Someone else should be able to tell you the appromximate costs.

You can do the top end without dropping the engine out. For an official Honda piston kit you are looking at around £40, with another £20 or so for the gaskets.

Try giving the carb and air filter a clean, if they are dirty it could affect consumption.

Two strokes in general consume more fuel than four strokes. Mileage per gallon will always differ due to diferent settings, parts etc. any adjustment or change of part affects the performance and fuel consumption of the engine. What main jet do you have in your carb?
As for your vibration issues, i suggest you start checking all the bolts that have the engine in place and make sure that they are tight. After that go over the entire bike checking for possible loose screws.

Success
