20 months ago I sat my CBT and then the DAS on a 500c bike, and unfortunately failed which is what I expected as teaching/training was dreadful and subsequently lost all my confidence. I have since joined another firm and the traching is brilliant and confidence high after 1 day on a 125. Would it be a good idea as I am happy with the 125 to do the test on this and then buy a bike with a restrictor and get me experience? I am not looking for high speeds or using a bike on a day to day basis, probably will end up being a non winter rider. With thanks

Do your DAS, there shouldn't really be any question about it.

If you do the A2 test and so end up riding around for 2 years at 33bhp, you'll get bored of the 33bhp and then either: take the restrictors out and be riding illegally, or pay to do the accelerated access test.

Just do the DAS test in the first place.
