Hello all,

I have just purchased a 2003 03 XT600E and unfortuantely there is no owners manual.

Could anyone please provide a link to where I can buy or download the owners manual because I want to give this bike a good looking over and service before using.

I also want to buy the Haynes manual but am unable to find where I can buy it in the UK.

There's one here

https://www.dtr125.com/xt600e.co.uk/manual/YamXT600Man.pdf

I've also attached a wiring diagram.

Also, here's a useful site https://www.xt600e.co.uk/

Enjoy Thumbs Up

Thank for your help Joe,
I have saved the wiring diagram but the top link wont load for me.

When I click on it the page opens and I leave it for 10 minutes but the page is blank.
It says "The file is damaged and could not be repaired"

Have you tried right clicking the link and choosing "Save As...."?

Thanks a lot Joe, that worked. I guess the manual is the same for XT600's from 1990 to 2003.

That looks like a very detailed service manual from the USA for qualified mechanics, so thanks again.

Do you prefer using this type of manual or the Haynes manual?

Molex, that link is for a Venture XVZ13TFR
If you have a link for the XT600E owners manual I would be grateful.

I prefer a Haynes as it's clearer but all the information is essentially the same, though I trust the Yamaha one more.

Try this link for the owners manual

Thanks Joe and Molex for the links to the owners manual, they both work.

Just been to haynes.co.uk and they don't make a manual for my bike so thanks again for the Yamaha manual.

You're welcome Thumbs Up

I've just picked up a XT myself, enjoying it at the moment. I've only really used it for getting around town. How are you finding yours? Any plans for any mods?

I'm only using mine for getting around town at the moment which it does well - liking the power (or lack of it), nice riding position and decent enough suspension to get through these pot holes that have opened up since the snow.

I'm going to do a few little mods and see how it handles a bit of dirty action.

I only bought the bike yesterday and just bought some insurance online to start at noon tomorrow.
That will give me time to make a few checks first made much easier now I have the owners manual Smile

I used to own an XL600R when I was 17, now I am in my 40's I got the urge to ride again.
The XT is similar BHP wise (44-45).
I am not a speed freak so the low top end does not bother me.

I love the riding position too.
This bike is standard with no modifications so I will see how I feel about it before changing anything.
I will be interested to hear what you do to yours though.

I can remember when I first got on and rode the XL I was shocked at the acceleration but I had been using a 50cc the previous year.
I am hoping that I am not going to be really disappointed tomorrow now that I have experienced and come used to more powerful motors.
