...zzr600 Very Happy

33k, now 34... I think for a steal.. 12 months mot and 6tax, just had new clutch plates... needs couple jobs doing; front tyre, chain, battery, but otherwise in real nice condition. last owner for over 10 years and been a fairweather bike only Smile goes well, looks great and is a healthy step up for me. just wish it was earlier and drier

on the way home from getting it

and stopped on way home for some photos

Very nice, typical it was a dry weather rider and your day home it looks wet.

Good luck with the bike

Nice bike mate. I enjoyed my zzr600 until it died. Long private roads can be a laugh too.

Centre stands are really useful on a road bike. I don't like the screen though.

Like it, looks a nice clean example. Hate the look of those extended screens, double bubble's the way to go! Thumbs Up

Don't, center stand was the best thing I've ever experienced, you can do lot of work easier and quicker with the center stand. Thumbs Up

Agreed, I changed out my rear shock in 20 minutes in my back yard thanks to the centre stand!

Another fan of centre stand right here.

Even if it is just for cleaning the chain alone, they are worth it.

If I could I'd dump the side stand on my zxr and put there center stand. Twisted Evil

Yep. Thumbs Up

Guess it's different from bike to bike but on my 2 the only time I get the centerstand to scrape is 2up, and that's with the suspension setup correctly.

cheers folks.. she's a 93 e1 too, so for 20 year old i think she's pretty decent.

st helens it came from, for the princely sum of £600, including the chap riding it half way down to meet me. there's cheaper out there, and like i said, it does need a couple of jobs doing that'll push up the cost a couple of hundred quid, but at the end of the day the chap had had it for 10 years and has obviously looked after it, and that was worth it for me. plus i sold my er-5 for the same money so it cost me nothing to progress to a bigger bike.

the screen looks huge til youre on the bike, it doesn't do that good of a job of aiming the air over me, i'm only 5ft8 and it aims it at my face going off the angle i can see. will likely change it at some point, but least of my priorities atm.

and yeah, i've had centre stand on both my other bikes and found them useful, so this is definitely staying. the sidestand feels weak too, is that normal? not sure i trust it, puny little thing.

Good bikes, love my zed. Depending on how you ride you might want to do a few things.

if you fancy a bit of kneedown ditch the centre stand, it just catches the road. Also run a 160 rear tyre rather than a 150 and you shall get it much lower!

Be careful mixing antifreezes, they will ruin the water pump seal and second hand pumps are shite.

sidestand feels weak but is fine! It'll take my 14stone sat on it fine.

Definitely get crash bungs, the engine cases are rare to get hold of.

also the exhaust will rot off soon if it isn't a stainless system. From what I can see it looks like you already have the stainless setup. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Don't expect it to go over 50-60k miles without a gear going though. Laughing
