I woke up this morning at 5am to get milk for my son, as i passed the front door window i couldnt see the cover for my bike so i open the door no bike, no cover and no locks they took everything. its happened between 10pm and 5am 29th/30th jan. The bike was locked right outside my front door, locked to the porch. I live in great leaver bolton, its a small quiet street no riff raff or anything and i didnt hear anyone cutting locks or anything.
i phoned police this morning and im waiting for the crime team to ring me back.

The Bike honda cbr600f in black with bright orange wheels it really stands out.
Reg: P316 NOC

so iff anyone sees my bike please contact me.
Thanks martin

Sorry to hear about that mate.

In the picture, is that the lock you are using?

If so, wouldnt a pair of bolt cutters get right through that?

Hope you get it back, and they get the bastards.

Its already been repainted or stripped or sold as a track bike, you already know this martin mate.
Alarms are only good if they are wired propperly and are a decent alarm, same with locks and chains.
Leaving a bike outside is just asking for trouble too and i know that from experiance.

Where else have you posted that pic? You did realise that the Iphone stores the location data with the pic right?

Bad news PIEMON..
Thing is, no matter what you do, if they really want your bike they'll get it. ?200 chain or ?10 disclock.
Hopefully you'll get a quick payout or your bike found.

I'd remove the mobile number if i were you. Let people PM you.

Hi it had a chain on a thick chain and a good lock. That's the 1st time I posted a pic anywere of my bike. It also had the Honda alarm on. It didn't go off. The wheels are bright orange I'd say st orange. Iv got to wait 28 days before they will sort a payout. Iv been driving round looking in ditchs and fields but can't find it. The bike has data stickers on. I don't know how data tag works or anything.

Thanks martin

Report it to the police, tell them its data tagged and they will pick up the microchips glued to the bike, the plastic markings will have been painted over by now and the plate will have been changed.

Shocked
I had no idea Thumbs Up
but damn that's not cool! Any idea if there's a list of devices that do this? curious what my tech's upto now.

Hope you get the bike back Piemon!
I'll keep an eye out on the rare chance that it pops up for sale, looking to buy a bike in the midland's areas so could stumble across it if they're idiots.

What do people do who steel bikes burn them out or strip them? Where do they sell parts? Iv checked eBay and I keep checking it. Iv phoned the local breaker yard. What's the chance of getting the bike back? How many bikes get returned? I just want to hope that I will get it back. Thanks martin

How long is a piece of string. Rolling Eyes
Your bike could be pulling wheelies as we type...or on its way to a different County in a van with other bikes.
They'll sell parts anywhere they can.

phone up the cops and ask for the percentage of returned stolen bikes....they will go 'Eh'? in other words nobody really knows. I would guess that the crapper the bike the more chance it will return.
And you still haven't removed your mobile number from the internet.
Are you sure you're old enough to ride Razz

Its a shit world at times.
