Hey I've just bought a Yamaha R125 and I was wondering what sort of parts are the best for it. I was wanting to know about crash bungs and alarms.

cheers, Sam

The best parts to get for it?

cash and full test are a good option...just beating everyone else to it!!

Erm, if you value it, crash bungs are a smart purchase.
A decent lock/chain will go far, but if someone wants it, they will take it.

If it's crash bungs, you will want R&G

Alarms, I've had experiance with datatool and meta, the meta was easier to live with.

The meta Is a hard wire alarm, and it imobilzes the bike so they cant start it, I've fitted atleast 20. The yamaha bungs are ok but not seen them tested yet, And i havent fitted any R&G ones either.

Had the meta on mine, liked it alot more than the datatool I had on another bike. And yes iirc you have to drill holes for the crash bungs.

Yes you drill the fairing for the genuine yamaha bungs, a big 20mm+ hole. Not sure on the R&Gs.

I've seen the R+G ones after a crash, pretty much like anything, it was a 20mph slide so it saved some fairing, anything more and it would probably be more of a hindrance.
