As you generally put Turtle Wax on paintwork and ACF50 is designed to stop corrosion I think you should be fine.

Wax/polish once applied protects paintwork anyway.

If you turtle waxed it before the ACF50 can see no problem, but is using afterwards don't see how you wouldn't be wiping it out.

ACF50 won't harm the paint chives but you are meant to use a PTFE wax on the tank/fairings. Smile

So i shouldn't use ACF50 on the paint? I thought you were suppose to plaster the bike with the stuff except for the brakes and tyres to stop/prevent corrosion etc

Edit: It doesn't actually mention the tank.

I understand that, but it's to stop your bike corroding, paint doesn't corrode Laughing

Yeah, I was thinking that myself. Laughing But I suppose it depends if your tank is chipped/scratched.

I don't think ACF50 would help much in that case but who knows? Probably better off using polish and then the residue will get left behind in the chips and scratches.

Turtle Wax even do a polish with different coloured pigments in it for that very job. Makes the scratches less visible too.

I only use ACF50 on areas of the bike susceptible to corrosion - or areas unpainted, etc.

Waxing shouldn't be a regular part of a cleaning routine - if applied correctly (and a final finish), it should last fine for every 6 months or so.

If you're wanting to wax your tank/bodywork - clean and prepare the paintwork of all dirty/residue/contaminants first.
