Ok I had a bit of a scare last night :s

I was cruising along at 160kmph when I notice in front of me sits a bunny wabbit, happily munching on its supper. I purposely crossed onto the other side of the road (it was on a long straight) in order to avoid this happy little bunny. Thinking that I have easily missed it at the last second, it decides it wants to move, and not in the direction I was expecting it to move (away from me) it decides being the clever little bunny that it was that it wanted to run towards me. So I'm thinking oh sh*t am I going to bin my new bike or will I just get passed in time...

Because the clever and still very happy bunny timed it just right, he met me smack on, front wheel goes bump compressing the suspension, then the back wheel goes bump (and something makes a popping noise) I assume it was the now very flat bunny wabbits head exploding.

Are wabbits attracted to lights or something? Or maybe it was a very unhappy bunny wabbit sat in the middle of the road for a reason, perhaps all its little fwends had been bullying him. Crying or Very sad

Thats about my 6th road kill this year!

3 rabbits, 2 cats and a pheasant. Fortunately the one cat got away for just a sore back side, the other didn't :s

Some animals are clearly stupid, especially pheasants. It's like they are magnetized and get forced to jump in to the path of cars.

I don't know about being attracted to lights but the are supposed to "freeze".

According to the RIDE "what-if" handbook you can predict which way different road-kill will turn and run when they see you on the road.

btw Dean - was that story about your friend going straight through the deer true? I've told that one many a time to an un-believing audience!

Yeah it was grooves, we were just talking about that Monday night.
Cost him £2k to get the bike fixed, even though there was no major damage. Just lots of little bits.

Mike, you poor sod Laughing. You've really got a thing for road kills haven't you?

I've still got your face imprinted in my head from when you nearly ran over a pigeon last month whilst driving my Mother's car to Tesco.

Laughing I'll tell you what it is, he's a bloody menace in that Volvo! Laughing
How many frags has the Vulva racked up now then?

You should paint a little animal face on the front wing for each animal killed. Smile
