hi so i have a speedfight 2 and recently had a 70kit, reedblock, manafold, carb, and airfilter fitted. i ran it in properly and now i can only get 40mph out of it. although i did manage to randomly get 55 out of it today. also when i start it in the mornings when i rev or leave it, it just conks out takes me like 3 tryes to get it started. it was upjetted but im thinking its not the right size so iv orderd some jets. i personally think its a compression problem but ill change the jets first befor i go spending money on gaskets.some 1 also said it could be the springs on my stage6 clutch although it has been run in on another ped so not sure if its true or not

so if anybody has any suggestions or info would be much appreciated

thanks

Find out what compression it has, compression testers are cheap. Check the plug, see what colour it is (should be tan brown, if it's very oily the 2 stroke pump may be set too high).

Check the air filter. A new plug never hurts.

Screw the compression tester into the spark plug hole and turn the engine over, I'm not 100% on what pressure it should read, but I think anything under 120PSI is worth a look into.
