p.s. DONT listen to what other people say about the condition of your bike, Don't DO or SELL anything till your a bit better and you've got the bike home and thoroughly checked it over.

People were telling me my bike was completely smashed and the swingarm was even bent etc etc so I started posting adverts getting interest for breaking it! BUT its home now and the damage has cost me around £700 to get back on the road, but that was mainly for a full bodykit and new wheels.

So wait till ya see the bike yourself before putting it up for sale Wink Smile

Hi

Ouch. Hope you and the bike are OK. Don't sell it yet, certainly not until you know what happened.

All the best

Just relax for the moment. You may not feel it but you're probably still in shock. Don't worry to much about your memory. Most if not all will come back over time. Try not to fight to stay awake. It's natural to want to sleep loads.

The bad news is the police have probably asked a recovery place to get your bike and it's unlikely it'll be cheap to get back. They may charge by the day so ask a friend to find out where it is and arrange to get it back.

You may also feel slightly abbusive, frustrated and rash about the whole situation and to others. Try to stay calm if you feel you're getting upset.

Oh and don't ask me how I know these things. Can't remember a damn thing about it ye see, and it happened in '93.

Actually didn't want to worry you there. I now remember everything upto the last 10 mins before my accident. It's you brains natural reaction to completely blank out such a traumatic event so don't worry.

Take care.....FS.

ps. maybe one day I'll tell you about the time my life nearly ended. Wink But hey, we can all laugh about it now and I still have the very same bike. Razz

Sorry to hear it mate, makes my stomach go hearing about people crashing. Best to make a full recovery and decide what's best for you afterwards, but you already knew that.

Get well

Best wishes.

If you do decide you want to give up this biking lark don't do it without getting on a few more times or you'll never know!

yeah i agree, don't give up without getting on again!!!

I got knocked off about 3 years ago, and although i wasn't too seriously injured (cuts, squashed leg, etc) plus all the near misses which are probably the same as everyone... usually a few everytime i go out, i vowed not to give up bikes.

Ok so it took me 3 years to get mine on the road but it was way worth the wait and i know i'm going to get knocked off by some cager, but everytime i have a near miss i learn from it so hopefully the next ones will be near misses too.

End of the day, bikes rule... the freedom, the wow factor and most importantly... women love 'em, lol Razz
