I've finally got my belly pan on the bike. Had a little bit of trouble with the Honda sticker... Embarassed it looks better on the other side - honest.
What do you all think? good, bad? should i change the sticker and do it better?
Colour wise i thought i got a pretty damn good match. Halfords=win.

I think all naked bikes should have bellypans fitted to them, although I would lose the honda sticker altogether and just have it plain.

Thumbs Up

Im in two minds about the sticker, the thing thats annoying me is it didnt go on straight! Other than that, i quite like the Honda sticker being there.
I got the belly pan off ebay, £40. It was plain, had not not been sprayed. I primed and sprayed it myself. The mounting was a pain in the arse, but got there eventually after modifying the brackets. Cant remember who told me to do that, someone off here or the hornets nest...

To be honest it doesn't look like it's not straight in the pics from what I can see, and if you like it on there that's all that matters, just wouldn't be to my tastes is all.

Thumbs Up

I photo shopped it without the sticker....it does look better. So i took it off...If i out a sticker on it will be the hornet one (the cartoon like one) or a much smaller Honda print. I will probably just leave it plain though. Save the dosh of stickers.
I had trouble finding where to put the brackets, and had to bend and modify them to fit. Im a little unsure on whether on the one of the brackets where i used the nut on the bottom of the engine which hold the bottom sump of the engine to the mid of the engine.
Here are some pictures, obviously its the ones of the blue hornet...

Will it be ok? or should i try and put the bracket somewhere else?
cheers.
p.s thathornet - Alot of cleaning keeps my engine clean... Very Happy WD40 and ACF50 = Win

I do like the look of them, I may get one myself some day. (Even if they do make bikes look a little like snow ploughs). I've heard of bikes having handling issues after fitting them though and that's put me off. I'll have to look into that properly. Smile

...I cant see how in any way a belly pan will affect the bikes handling.

It is ridiculously clean though!

I don't think I've cleaned either of mine for well over 6 months. Can never be bothered at this time of year as they both end up filthy quicker that I can stay on top of them anyway.
