I'm the owner of a slightly neglected '90 FZ750 which is getting put back on the road. Seeing as it's been sitting on the same tyres for 4 years and not going anywhere a nice new pair seems to be in order. Original rear fitment is 140/70 18 and it's currently on a 150/70 18. The closest I can find in a modern design is 160/60 18.
I can't be the only person with an older bike who fancies the advantages of modern rubber. What do you lot do? Will the 160 be OK on a bike designed around a 140 tyre?

Ta in advance.

160 will probably be pushing it too much.
There's a lot of tyres designed for trail/enduro bikes in that size, some of which have pretty normal road-levels of tread.

Metzeler Lazertecs are a good fit for this bike and come in the right sizes.
