did some thing similar one one of my old suzuki`s on a regular basis.
change the filter every 1000m, change the oil every 2000m.
i just used to chock up the front end on to a car wheel ramp, so the front end of the bike was a lot higher than the rear.
whip off the filter very quickly and pop a new one on within a couple of seconds.
half a dozen bits of kitchen roll to wipe up the spill and the job was done
the tip is to get the front end high! ____________________ I am the sum total of my own existence, what went before makes me who I am now! |

Only on a DR650, tilting it over as far as possible without dropping it and then changing the filter as quickly as possible, needed a rag to catch the little bit of oil that dribbled out when I un-bolted the cover. ____________________ My claim to fame: Austin Vince nicked my pen... |

Why bother tipping the bike up, or laying it on it's side Just catch what drips out in a clean container and stick it back in.
I always thought you changed the oil more regularly than the filter, not the other way around |
