Hi

Im looking at a 2006 DRZ SM in good condition with low mileage for £2999

How much should I expect to get off the price?
I know its a bit like 'how long is a piece of string'....but i've not purchased from a dealership before, just wondering how much movement on the price there would be

Thumbs Up

It really is a 'piece of string' thing I'm afraid - some dealers offer realistic prices but won't bargain, others offer silly prices and won't move either.
Also depends on the room in their show room, if they've got to have a certain number of sales by the end of the month etc.

I could swear that you could get a brand new DRZ-SM for that kinda price in 06/07, so personally I'd be wanting quite a bit off, but generally I'm not a fan of dealers.

From a dealer that seems like a pretty decent price: Saltaire Suzuki were selling a 2008 drzsm for £3295 with about 3k. I think that was pretty extortionate.

Someone was selling an 05, 3k miles, for £2500 - this bike was spotless and had been well looked after.

The best thing you can do is keep checking biketrader/ebay etc and you can roughly work out prices. Then offer a price based on that.

If the 06 you wanted had a decent aftermarket exhaust, tailtidy etc then I think it would be worth it.

Hi

The bike is completely standard,I suppose il offer around £2,800 or maybe less....
Thing is some dealers will only knock £50 off Rolling Eyes Stingy or what,in times like these you would think they would be eager to make a sale Confused

DRZ's seem to hold there value and the dealers probably know they are good sellers,at least theres plenty to choose from

easy choice Thumbs Up

But, anyone in that situation should be able to get much better rates from a personal loan than from vehicle finance.

You're right, but some people, me included, have been such fuckwits in the past that they can't get personal loans, but secured finance is still a possibility. Thumbs Up
