Basically i've got a Motorhispania rx50 with a standard technigas exhaust which is fairly rusted and im looking at getting a high performance exhaust for it. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should get, currently i've been looking at metrakit which is about 160 and turbokit which is 130.

This is what i was looking at buying, any suggestions as to whether or not this will be any good on the road/last a long time?

You should buy and fit the stock exhaust and leave the bike alone. Any performance part for a 50cc bike is absolutely pointless.

My Nkd 50 will get my fat arse upto 60 on an amazing day, and its completely stock, aswell as being naked, so less aero.

Exhaust systems do the grand total of fuck all on a 50cc Thumbs Up

mmm not true. a truly well designed expansion pipe will make more power then say a standard exhaust, not much mind on a 50cc but they make scooters go a damn sight better.

a race pipe on a 50 is a large improvement beleive it or not. aswell as gettign it jetted correctly.

as for a stock nkd doing 60. i think not my mx50would max out at 55=60 ish with a racecan and a derestricted front pipe and jetted up. with a 13stone lump on it i cant see a stock nkd doing more considering the rs50 is 'the 50cc bike' to have

Well, of course that is an INDICATED speed on a CG, as my Speedo clocks out at 50mph, so probably more like 55mph, but no word of a lie. Much rather have an RS2 50 over an RS50, the Rieju's are actually pretty quick at stock.

Mines not geared up at all, and it was flat and not windy. Had it up to 54mph true speed without really trying on MCN's Ride Logger for iPhone, which is pretty much dead on, im gonna try for a 60Mph when i've got some spare time and more petrol.

My view on 50's is to leave them alone, only gonna be on it a year, and anything you do just makes it less reliable, use more fuel/oil, and get very little real gain. Even on a 125 i don't see the point tbh, an RS125 will do a smidge over 100mph (According to a 09 Blades speedo, this is the newer RS125 with Rotox(?) Engine) which is basically all you'll get from 33hp.

a rs125 will do 100mph? i think not in stock form...

as for 'gps on phone being accurate' i think not. and exhausts etc on a 50 /125 why the hell not? he needs a replacement. the replacement preformance one is probaly just as cheap as a stock second hand one. as for a rs2 vs a rs50 . i know most people would take a rs50 every day of the week i for one would

My stock front sprocket is 14, i went upto 15 and it spread the gears a little, but killed acceleration, changing to 6th just did nothing, where as now it will let me pull to 55ish. Is it me or does the turbokit can look really stubby? Although all the aftermarket cans are thinner than my stock one, guess they probably aren't packed as much.

Argument shit -

2008 RS125 well maintained with a fairly light rider, said he got 104mph indicated on the flat, and his dad on the Blade said it was 99mph on his speedo.

The GPS is damn good, and an App ran on Desire gave me the same speed (Shove that up your Anti Apple argument Wink ) Its not gonna be 100% Accurate like the kit Kickstart uses, but much better than a dodgy speedo as fitted to every small bike.

I'll agree if he needs a replacement, and its a similar price, may aswell go for the aftermarket stainless, but only so it doesn't rust to shit like all stock exhausts on small bikes.

Well, for one the RS2 is made better, better warranty, nearly a grand cheaper, and tuned RS50 (Guy who owns its a twat, so yeah its got all the carbon reeds, bigger carbs, full arrow etc.) will only just pull away from it, barely nothing.

I don't own the RS125 im talking about, but im taking his word for it, ofcourse he could be bigging it up, but his dad confirmed it to me, but the newer RS125's will do 100mph indicated.

MCN about the RS125 wrote:
in de-restricted, 30bhp, form the Aprilia RS125 can hit well over a ton.

MCN review of the RS1 50, never did the RS2 wrote:
Engine size - 50cc
Power - 9bhp
Top speed - 60mph

top speed bwing on a dyno. a rs125 with 30bhp .... yeah. OFC .

as for sprockets always go up one on the front made my mx50 faster throught the gears as it didnt rev out so fast in each gear.

yeah his dads blade spedo isnt accurate either ... so you can call it 88-90mph ish

Doing off the speedo on that bike is a piece of cake, currently its all stock and desrestricted and it's going off the clocks on mine mainly because the clocks are off by about 10mph!

Now when i get this new exhaust i need to find out what on earth im going to do about the whole sprocket issue, its currently on 52 and 12 and was on 52 and 11 earlier and only noticed a marginal difference, still getting through gears fairly quickly and top end has increased by 5-10 mph. Maybe a 48 and 14...
