More pics when it is light, they are wired directly into my headlight and is fairly tidy. This is definatly function over form to attempt to stop the idiots pulling out. Total cost of mod £4.99. Pretty good I think.

Seriously? Why on earth would they be illegal, are sidelights on cars illegal?

Nope, not a tramp or a hobo, just a university student. As finances go it amounts to about the same thing. I'm right on the verge of dropping out to just get a job actually. I'm 100% sure I won't be any better off finding a job or a better job at this point with a degree or without one.

Chris, do you have a link to them? What colour were they described as, because they look blue in the pictures. I'd want proper white without the blue tinge Thumbs Up

They aren't illegal unless they are blue. They appear to be a true white which do tend to give off a blue tint (much like HID lights do and them LED running lights you see on audi's and chav cars)

More info

I decided I wanted to be more visable as filtering home on the A13 at about 6pm in winter months is treturous. I got it in my head them wiring a load of LEDs into my hand guards should make me stand out.

After about 2 hours and £4.99 spent on Ebay this was the result.

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v295/chris-red/Picture008.jpg

I was pretty impressed.

https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2-X-24-Led-Flexible-...=item2559033b3b

These are similar to the ones I bought

To fit them I stuck them on using the provided sticky then drilled little holes to loop a cable tie through.

They are directly spliced into the main beam

I nice cheap mod to provide a bit extra visability IMO.
