I just bought a new helmet and have 3 visors for it. 2 dark ones and 1 clear one.

The clear one is treated with anti fog and this works really well, but obviously in this weather I use the dark ones.

The problem is that whenever i stop in traffic or at lights the visor fogs up pretty much straight away and its annoying to keep opening and closing it.

Ive got some pink fluid that doesn't really work and been told about getting a foggy mask. The darkest visor isn't Pinlock either so can't use that.

Anything tried and tested? Are foggy masks any good? And how to companies actually anti fog their visors?

Cheers!

I use Bob Heath anti fog spray and that seems to work quite well.

Fog city visor insert is the only thing I've had real success with, but it obviously doesn't stop your glasses from fogging up.

Hawaiian stick which you can get at some bike shows is also good, but its hard to get hold of.

Pinlock, probably like the fogcity, very effective when new - and fine if you leave it on, though keep swapping it around and eventually it seems to lose a bit.

Check ebay, you may be able to get a pinlock kit for your dark visor.

I've tried a dark pinlock insert on a clear visor, and while it does help a bit, I often find that the sun just tends to be in the clear area around the outside of the insert.

Oops, missed that. You should be able to get pinlock kits providing it’s the right size – just need to drill two small holes in your visor.

The fog city visor insert gets my vote. Since I've bought one, I've never had any problems with the visor fogging up.

I'm pretty sure when I get another helmet / visor, I'll buy the same thing. Thumbs Up

pinlock all the way, riding at 5am in the winter, all vents closed up, not a mark on the visor, truely awsome thing.

couldnt live without it,

i keep one clear visor with pinlock, cost me £30 in total

and one regular tinted for the summer days
