The RHS rear light on my girlfriend's R reg Astra is kaput. It has a working bulb in it - I tested it in the left hand side. It's a separate bulb to the brake light and all other lights on the car work fine. I checked the fuses and saw that the one for the faulty light had blown, I replaced the fuse and it still doesn't work.

I'm a bit lost when it comes to electrics so any pointers as to what to try next will be gratefully received as she has a MOT on Saturday Thumbs Up

Has it blown the fuse again?
Does it blow the fuse with the bulb in or out?
Has it got a tow bar? ie extra wiring for the lights?
Try it with the bulb holder out.

The fuse probably blew again as soon as you retested it, if it has then the live wire to the faulty indicator is shorting on the chassis somewhere no doubt or there is a short in the bulb holder.
