Went to my girlfriends the other day on the bike. Hopped back on it after around 4 hours.

Turned ignition to on and tried starting her up. She didn't quite start up first time, so i turned the ignition to off and waited around 10 seconds like i usually do. When i turned the ignition back on though, there was no power. No lights, dashboard didn't light up, nothing.

Whats going on there? I have no idea about electrics so please reply in the most basic, easy to understand english as possible! Thanks.

Could be a dodgy earth. Try running a jumplead from the battery negative (-) terminal to the engine and see what happens.
