Hi all,

As some of you may know I am in the process of revamping a previously written off blade. I attempted to remove the bloody annoying self alaming datatool today, which came out fine, but as the immobiliser is still connected the thing wont start. I think it's just a case of finding the correct point in the ignition and bridging the gap to make the loom complete again. Where would be a good place to start looking for those phantom wires? Or even better, what exact wires would the immobiliser be wired to? Any help would be appreciated.

Also, does anyone have a wiring diagram they can send my way. Its for a 96 (i think) CBR RRW.

Thanks very much in advance. Karma cookies for all

Please explain a bit more. What immobiliser is fitted? If you have removed the alarm, you ought to have tracd all the wires to where they cut into the loom, and re-joined the original connections. Have you done this, or have you simply un-plugged the alarm from it's sub-loom?

Can't help you directly but there's a haynes on ebay for '92-'99 fireblades for a tenner. That will have a nice wiring diagram and other useful titbits Smile

It won't show you where the datatool has been wired though,as Geri said you need to trace all the wires back and rejoin the immobiliser wires,i think my mates had 2 immobiliser circuits on it.

Very true but a wiring diagram is still useful and the OP wanted one Smile

Thanks guys, I just cut the alarm off where it joined into the loom. I will cut back the tape and see what I can find.

Also, thanks for the link to the haynes manual. Thumbs Up
