My mate text me saying his engine is flooded on his NSR125.

we have tried everythng we know, I've searched on here for more ideas and tried them.

The plug is sparking but when it's taken back out of the engine it's soaking wet. We tried a new plug and that is doing exactly the same thing.

He left it for an hour hoping it might dry out but it is still not working.

Whats the next thing to try after the usual tricks.

Karma for the help. Karma Thumbs Up

Still won't start he's decided to just get the garage to pick it up when it goes for a service and let them sort it out. Cheers anyway mate.

i would pull the carb and kick it over a dozen times, then change the plug for a new one, put the carb back on and try again

Tried a different plug. It came out covered in petrol and a bit of black oil. It's just hassle taking the carb off if it's going to the garage anyway. Might aswell just let them do it. Cheers anyway it's good to know for when mine does it.

you dont have to take the carb off, just kill the petrol supply, and drain the float bowl, then kick it over,

Turn off petrol. Drain float bowl. Remove plug. Kick over lots.

Put new plug in, turn on petrol, start bike.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.
