Surely a tank bag's a tank bag?? na.

This one was from Lidl, cost about £20 and consists of 6 parts:

Map pocket. Clear plastic window bit with a zip toward the bottom for map access, novelty if if it's your thing but for me it bust within half an hour of virtually no use. Eh?

Main compartment. This is expandable, there's a zip to unleash the extra spacinessz where you can craftly stash a helmet, but it's hardly hidden, the shape gives it away since the fabric is tight although its very durable and has stood upto oil, superglue(dribbled on), water, snow, ice and countless times being thrown around the garden, recovery/impound yard etc etc, it has 4 magnets holding it to the tank and 1 strap thing for added 'security', which could be cut by scissors - so yeah, secure.. Rolling Eyes

It has 2 side pockets; 1 of which is detachable and can easily fit a couple pairs of sunglasses in, or a can of coke, tin of beans etc..

Finally, the rucksack. Oh yes, if it's not enough that it's an all purpose storage thingy me jig then rest assured, if you're needing a backpack you can simply unclip this little beast from ye bike and sling it over ya shoulder using the back-pack-straps built in.

Simples. Thumbs Up

The added "security" is to stop it falling off your bike....

Just so you know. Thumbs Up Wink

Indeed I did, but to be honest with the strength of the magnets it's really not needed. Smile

Its needed for when you stack it.

The only reason my tank bag stayed relatively close to my bike was due to the headstock strap. Luckily my secret Santa present survived the crash too Thumbs Up

I see you still haven't quite grasped 'sarcasm', despite being a 'comedian'. And yes, yes it does.

Quote:
Sar-casm

1. harsh or bitter derision or irony.
2. a sharply ironical taunt; sneering or cutting remark: a review full of sarcasms

So I've analyzed your post and here's where I found sarcasm.

Very good use of sarcasm right there, almost a professional level of sarcasm some would say.

And here's where I found the stupidity.

Quote:
and 1 strap thing for added 'security', which could be cut by scissors

Quote:
Stu-pid-i-ty

1. the state, quality, or fact of being stupid.
2. a stupid act, notion, speech, etc.

Aren't you glad I'm here to assist you like this!

The strap is designed to resist tension, much like a car seat belt.
think how much force that can take and then go see how easy it can be cut using scissors.

(Please - Go cut your car seat belt. )

I feel you may have mixed up the two kinds of security you'd be concerned with. Securely fastened and secure from thieves.
