Hey, i am thinking of doing DAS, but i have no biking experience, not even BCT.

Would i be best of taking some lessons before the DAS or just doing it in the week?

I do have a car license so know highway code etc.

Just interested in your opinions.

You mean CBT i take it?. Do that first, and see how you get on..also see if you even like biking. I did a crazy thing of buying my 125 before i did my CBT..without ever riding a bike.

DAS is cool...although im more of a fan of the 'step up' route, for example..you can theoretically do your CBT, have 2 lessons, pass your DAS then get an R1 and be at high risk of death! (most people on here would disagree no doubt).

The best way i suggest is get your CBT and theory done, then have a few lessons and see what kind of standard you are at, then you can do your DAS and maybe look at getting a bandit, hornet etc...nothing too relentless.

Was in a similar situation - did a DAS course: CBT first day, then a week later did 2 days on 125's, week after did 2 days on a 500 with the test in the afternoon of the second day.

I was in a similar situation too.

I'd had some years on the road on four wheels, so I was familiar with the Highway Code, and had a fair amount of road experience...

but until the day of the CBT I'd never even sat on a motorbike!!

Did the CBT, then two days of lessons on 125's, and an extra day on the 125 where I hired a bike at my own choice. Then two days on 500's, then the test.... and passed first time

already been said.....but do your CBT and see how you get on,
if you like it do your theory next, then ask about DAS,
they will tell you how much training you will need to pass both mod 1 and mod 2, then you will know how many days it will be and how much it will cost
Very Happy
