Hi Everyone,

I passed my CBT last weekend and am now loking for a 125.

Price wise I've not got much so looking mainly at CG125s, of which I have found two, but need some advice.

First is a 2002, 4 speed box, drum front brake done 10k miles for £1,100

Second is a 2007, 5 speed box, dics front brake done 2.9k miles for £1300

I read that the new five speed box has a improved gear box, this mean the old gear box is naff or just that it was only a four speed?

What do people think of prices? both are dealers andcome with 3 months worranty.

Any advice welcome,

Thanks
Paul

i bought my 125 from www.preloved.co.uk for £300, its a classified ad site and occasionally there are bargains to be had.. it was about £250 cheaper than a similar one on ebay went for too.
but if you are going to buy one of those you listed for the sake of £200 i would go for the much newer one every time

Go for the 2007 with 5 speeds and disc brake.
eBay is great for these, Gumtree usually comes up with some good results but you usually need to be a bit more careful cause its free.

Have a good look at all the bikes out there, do a google images search, and check out the styles, whittle down to what you actually like, then do a search.

Places like gumtree.com / bike-exchange / 125motorbikes.co.uk / preloved.co.uk / ukbike.com / look on other bike forums too. Thumbs Up
