Hi again everyone,
This evening when I was about to ride home from work I realised my left mirror was missing--it wasn't loose so it must have been stolen (no signs of it around the bike). I turned out riding with a mirror missing wasn't so bad and it even felt I had better direct vision--but is it actually road legal to ride with a missing mirror?

I'm kind of used to it as I also cycle from time to time. Having no mirrors does make it a bit easier to filter--they are the widest points across a bike often. I'll go with just 1 mirror for a while and see.

i never use mirrors always take them off but i wouldnt mind the under bar mirrors you see on alot of supermotos , the big sticky out ones makes it harder to filter i think and get in the way

I only used them on my test. I took them off when I wasn't doing tests. Feels free.

Although I like my that my current bike has mirrors

As above, IMO mirrors are essential. Knowing what is behind you is an important part of staying alive.

I have both mirrors on the bandit but only the right side mirror on the XT.

I have ridden with no mirrors but didn't like not knowing what was behind me.

I've ridden for years at a time with no mirrors - shoulder checks should be fine for seeing what's behind. Or just make sure you're always going faster than anything else out there Razz.

This. Ridden plenty of times with no mirrors and you get used to it. Just do more shoulder checks to compensate.
