Getting your site to show in Google results?!

I can't get my newest website to show in google results.

I'm 'submitted it' to google, but no luck there. All of my previous sites have been indexed in a week, and show up as the top item.

Anyone got some tips for me?

Link to your new site from your old sites and get links to your new site from as many related sites as you can.

I added meta tags, and uploaded an xml site map using google webmaster tools.

I've also had a few people link to it.
