Bought a '96 Speed Triple on ebay a few weeks ago.. Good condition, FSH and well looked after, but a bit over tarted with bolt on crap and in a rubbish colour:

Managed to pick up a full set of immaculate black bodywork on ebay for £200, so stripped the bike yesterday morning, and now going to ebay my old blue bodywork - should mean its cost next to nowt for the colour change. and looks so much better now, especially after stripping the mirrors and grab handle and fitting a CF seat pod £40 (sellotaped on at the moment haha):

Its a proper heavy beast - handling is....errr....entertaining, coming from sportsbikes, and the whole thing feels like its been cast from a solid piece of granite! Sounds fantastic though, and should handle better with refurbed front suspension and a new Hagon shock.

£1700 - not a bad price really as the original S3's are becoming hard to find.

Looks fantastic, an old skool mean looking front end with a modern(ish) rear. I like it.

If you this that thing handles bad you should try an XV 750. Its like a car on two wheels.

I love the look of those first Speed Triples, far better looking than any of the later ones.
A proper double hard thug of a bike.... and they should only be in black.

Not sure yet - I might just get it sprayed black, but might just flog it off as the bike looks better without it I think.

Also trying to decide if I keep the bars or source some original clipons.

Edit - your Trident looks lovely Smile Very similar bike from what I can gather

If you decide to sell, give us a shout, will save me spraying it too! Razz Smile
