I have not used my 2003 CBR 600F for about 5 months due to working away and the the great british weather.

Any advise on what I should check/do before I take it back out on the road?

Its been stored outside in a bike shed under a cover. I have re-charged the battery and the bike starts - However want to make sure I check everything I need to before going out on the road.

Cheers in advance

Dobin

Make sure to check the brakes.Damp air can get in and then you have water in the fluid=no brakes.
Check if cables need lub.
I would change the as well.

Oh check the air filter for mice. Smile

lube in your ignition barrel, fuel tap locks etc
lube any mechanical cables and the chain.

make sure you brakes work.
check tyres for any cracks due to cold weather

fill it up with fresh fuel because any crap in the old fuel would have settled to the bottom of the tank by now

Charge the battery and check the tyre pressures. Check the oil and change it if necessary. Inspect and test the brakes.

Thats it really. Oh and take it easy on the first ride in case something is wrong.

I'd take it for a shakedown run, only a short one start slow and build up see how it feels.
