OK so I want some work done on my bike... HID Projector lens installed into the headlight assembly.

Called Honda... £350 to fit... (5hours @ £55+VAT per hour)

Called a motorbike garage I found off yell.com the other day and the guy said to take the bike to his house as thats where he will work on it.. quote £60-100...

That just seemed dodgy lol its the first time im doing something like this so any help is appreciated. Thanks

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

That Honda garage can't count so don't take your bike there. Laughing

Tried doing it myself today. Got the front off. Then came the removing the headlight assembly and two screws seemed to be soldered in and the other two kept spinning and spinning and two came off easy.

Any suggestions on these tough screws? I tried WD40 and greasing them Sad

I'd be surprised if the screws were soldered in, not seen that before. WD40 overnight then impact driver in the morning. Not sure about the spinning ones, check they're not bolts with a nut to undo/hold on the other side though!

Where are you? Someone off here would blatantly come help out.

So is it ok to use a impact driver on the headlight screws? I thought they might damage the fairings....

if the screws are in plastic then they shouldn't need an impact driver to undo, you're missing something. Where are you located? I'll come help if you're within a sensible distance haha.

I am in south London...

Would the impact driver be safe to use on the headlight assembly screws? The screws aren't screwed directly into the fairing so I don't see it causing any damage but I thought i'd ask first...
