Asked them once for info on an exhaust I was looking to buy for a TDR125 but they were unable to tell me how much power it would produce or show me a dyno sheet either - strange seeing as they said it would increase power..... ____________________ Ducati 996 Biposto

"Alspeed" is the name for the pipe and "Gibsons" are the manufacturer. Great pipes for road bikes and you won't need to mess about with the jetting like you would do with peakier pipes like Nikon. When you buy new pipes from them, (and most places), you have a choice of finish - bare steel, chrome, stainless steel and recently "black chrome". If your original pipe is bare steel, it would have rusted in no time. Bare steel pipes need to be painted before seeing any rain. I've bought several expansion chambers for my bike, (6 sets in all), and I've ended up with a pair of Lomas stainless steel ones. i love the sound from S/S pipes and din't want to pay several hundred pounds for pipes then seethem rot away in front of my eyes. There is however a very small HP loss with S/S pipes. If you go to Gibsons, have a look at the black chrome finish, it looks superb. You might have to wait a while at Gibsons, they usualy have a bit of a waiting list. |
