The new Dr.Who

First off... I am not and never have been into Dr.Who.
I watch it in passing / when other insist on having it on.

When I have watched it ... I found the attempts at the 'Dr's' to be edgy, zany, off the wall, tough etc etc quite embarrassing.
There was a post a few months ago about the new Dr ... and I took one look at the rubber faced lovey gimp and thought " well! he is going to be as cringe worthy as the rest of them".

Just watched the first episode:
He is GOOD. I like him ... he seems to pull off the eccentric and the tough at the same time nicely.
and the ginger bird (I assume she is going to be his assistant) looked mint in a police top, short skirt and seamed tights

I've never really been into Dr who but my GF watchs it. I've saw a few repeats of the last series and I thought he played him quite well.

The new one I was a bit sceptical about because he was a nobody and I hadn't seen him in anything before. But I do agree he is quite good and I'm looking forward to watching this series.
