every time i start the bike up from cold in first gear the bike stops revving any further then 6k rpm until i put it in second etc etc when i come back into first its fine it red lines normally ....this only happens when i start from cold
regardless of how many mins i have left it to warm up
it does the same thing
this only happens when the first time i start the bike up in the day...or in a good few hours

sometimes i even change gear and the bike doesnt change gear its as if its stays in that same gear until i change up again and then it does

but this only happens rarely

any ideas?

If it's an NSR then yeah I experience them problems too. Even when the temp gauge is out of the blue and I hit a powerband it still smokes loads and splutters (this can be after ages of riding too). It's weird. Confused

It is because at low rpm loads of stuff gets clogged up in the zorst. When you open it up into the powerband for the first time all the stuff gets spat out of the bike. Nothing to worry about.
