a few questions...... i dont think we get the Pulsar over here, is it any good? tell us a bit more about the bike?
is it safe to camp in South Africa? lots of african creepy crawly things that are full of venom? and the violence/mugging/murder of tourists? or is this all blown out of proportion by the media? |
The pulsar is Indian. I flew to Cape Town via Dubai, and there were quite a lot of pulsars there, along with similar things from other manufacturers. Another was a honda unicorn.
They seem nice little bikes. I'm not used to riding a small bike at speed, so it took a while to get used to, but seems good and didnt let me down.
I dont think they are available herem but another time I'm on holiday, I'd be happy to hire a pulsar again.
As far as I know, there arent any dangerous creepy crawlies.
I was quite nervous about being mugged at the start of the trip, but was told that if you keep your wits about you and dont tempt fate its not too bad. The further you are away from big towns, the safer you are. I got fairly relaxed towards the end of my stay.
There is a lot of crime, but as with here, the more violent crime tends to be between criminals, or if you try to fight off a robber with a knife.
On my little motorbike trip I was more worred about running out of petrol, crashing, or breaking down than I was about creepy crawlies or muggers. ____________________ colin1 is officially faster than god |
