I SEEM TO HAVE KILLED MY ZXR400!

HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE BIKE SPEEDING UP AS I LET OFF THE THROTTLE IN HIGH GEARS AT HIGH SPEED AND ALSO IT KEPT CUTTING OUT WHEN SLOWING DOWN ETC.

SO TAKE IT TO MY MATES AND DRAIN CARBS, THEY ARE FILTHY SO DECIDE I NEED A NEW FUEL FILTER... OKAY.. CLEAN AND CHECK THE JETS/NEEDLES ETC.. ALL FINE..

CHANGE SPARK PLUGS. NO PROBS

START IT UP.. NICE , ON THE BUTTON.. ME LIKES..

RIDE DOWN THE ROAD...

FUCK SHIT BOLLOCKS, IT JUST BOGS DOWN IN EVERY GEAR TO POINT OF STAND STILL THEN OPENS BACK UP AGAIN ETC.. IT IS SERIOUSLY FUCKED.

ITS GOING IN GARAGE TOMOROW.. I GIVE UP!

Yup, make sure you reconnected everything and didn't kink anything - I had a similar thing happen to mine and it was cos some pipe hadn't been reconnected.

Is it an inline fuel filter? If so is it the wrong way round?

Could be as simple as that.

it does seem to be fuel starvations yea, i bet my mate trapped the fuel line when he put the tank back on or something!

didnt take the fuel filter off so it cant be on wrong way

garage will find the problem im sure.
