Who cares?

If you wanna go, then go.

I laughed at the sideways glances and sneers I got on my CG. Brilliant fun, taught me not to take anything too seriously.

When there's people stunting (haven't been for a few years) it's often the tatty courier's commuter bikes that are being used for the most skilled stunts.
See everything from C90s to blinged-up brand new sports bikes and full-on gold-wings.

Nobody is going to care. I rode up to Rivington Barn (local bike meet) the other day on a C90. The place was packed out with all sorts of people. I'm always doing it, and apart from a few 'WTF' stares, any comments I get tend to be appreciative.

There is little pretentiousness at the ace, well the people worth bothering with wouldn't care.

No you won't.
All sorts of people turn up there.
Been there meself on a fair few minging old assorted bikes in my time Laughing

I suggested meeting up for a drink with my girlie biker mates there once - most of whom were going to see Tom Jones at Wembley.
Turned out it was "Smart Car Day".

Our boyfriends laughed their arses off (but then ... they would, as none of them were coming there that day anyway).
We didn't care.

The Ace Cafe doesn't really "do" airs and graces.
Its fantastic when you go on a day when there are lots of snazzy bikes (or cars) there, when its a big special day. But otherwise you can go there just for the hell of it.

I regularly stop there (just to have coffee and go for a wee) on the way home, even if I'm in my car (a ratty old Corsa),

Nobody's gonna rag you.
Unless you have cuntish mates.

Don't knock Streetfighter Day Shocked

It is kind of cool, when you're in the thick of it watching those "homos" perform ... even if it is irritating to the locals Laughing

An RXS100 is cooler than a GSXR.

At any bike meet I can think of, an RXS100 would get a lot more attention than yet another GSXR. ONLY people who have GSXRs are interested in GSXRs (and even then they only get as far a swapping model numbers), lots of people have a soft spot for small, fun 2-strokes.

Example of a conversation about GSXRs:
Nice Gixxer mate what is it, a K2?
Yeah mate, what's your's a K3?
Yeah...
Err. I see yours is blue and white.
Umm. Yeah...
So. Nice day huh?

Whereas current and former RXS owners will wax lyrical about how many times they've crashed while showing off to girls. Exaggerate massively about their top speed and wheelying ability and reminisce about how they wish they'd never sold it.

Yeah, and forums where they talk about bikes too, anyone who goes on one of them must be a total queer Rolling Eyes

If there was a gixxer and an rxs100 side by side, I would talk to the rxs owner every time. Unless of course the gixxer owner possessed FF jubblys and was brunette.

Sounds like most GSXR owners too Wink.
I'm afraid the RXS owner 'thing' has been entirely spoilt by 27_cows for me - like the stereotypical sports bike owner but worse.
