Hey all,
just over a year ago my honda cg125 was stolen of my drive. i phoned my insurance company to make a claim. i recibed the call back a couple of days later where they wanted the ins and outs of a dogs a£$E. during this phone call they offered me £375 for the loss however my excess was £350 so i told them that i didnt want to go through with the claim to which the insurance bloke agreed with as it would cause a hike in my next premium far more then £25. I was then advised that i would be sent some paper work that if i signed would completely withdraw the claim. this i did. well now my insurance company are telling me that i have a claim against my record which i would have to claim with any insurance company for the next few years as a result of this. thing is this is now causing me a hike in insurance quotes im trying to get for an R6 if i state i have had a claim where if i dont its alot cheaper. surely this cannot be right can it

Hi.

Write to your insurance company asking for clarification, it might be an automated letter and their IT system hasn't taken into account the paper work you signed withdrawing the claim.

Always write a letter or an email under these circumstances, its to easy for telephone conversation to become confused and garbled. Even although they're all recorded, it leaves you open.

With insurance, many things they do don't seem right, but they do it anyway.

Thumbs Up
