A friend has just got an iphone.
A friend of theirs, put some tunes on it for them, using that persons itunes.
This was because the one i know didnt know how to install itunes on their computer.
I've installed it for them on their pc, but itunes only lets an iphone be tied to one copy of itunes. To put the tunes on their pc on the iphone, they would have to wipe the tunes the othe person gave them.
When I had this kind of problem with my ipod, i was able to allow the ipod to be used as a hard drive, so winamp could then access it, so tunes could be taken off the ipod and stored on the pc.
If I could do this with the iphone, i could just copy off the tunes, before the new sync wiped them with new ones.
However, I cant find the setting in itunes to allow an iphone to be used as a hard drive in the way you can with an ipod.
So far the only solution I can think of is for my friend to put all their tunes from the pc, onto their mates pc, to then put onto their iphone, but this would mean they would always have to use their friends pc to change the music contents of their iphone.
Is there a better way ? ____________________ colin1 is officially faster than god |

iPods running the iPhone OS (iPhone/iPod Touch) and possibly newer iPods cannot be configured to be used as a hard disk. But there is software out there.
https://www.getsharepod.com/ Can pull music off an iPod or iPhone, then restore the iPhone on their iTunes, and resync. ____________________ 1998 CB600F Hornet |
