Bet it still tastes like jizz. They all do. Nasty stuff. ____________________ China traffic/travel bike vid - When I make a sweeping statement, please add the word 'statistically' in to the sentence before you bitch...
From September 2014 to January/February 2015 I will not be using any English, nor reading any. As such, I won't be on here. PM at will, but I won't be checking/posting unless in emergencies. Certainly not for the first couple of months. Please berate me savagely if I break that rule... |

I dont pay full price
Tend to spend about £60-70 a month on supplements which in context is about half of what i'd spend on a night out at the weekend.
It works and tastes good and I can afford it so i'm happy.

I easily get over 200g of protein a day through chicken, eggs, milk steak, tuna and whey and other foods.
Reflex & Myprotein are prbably the best UK powders.
Anyone who thinks they are nonsense and replace them with toast and an apple can enjoy their paula radcliffe body.
For a typical male you should be consuming nearer 2700-3000 cals if your looking to put on any serious muscle mass.
Work each muscle group once a week and make sure you hit it hard. For beginners you probably want to stay lower volume, 3 exercises of 3 sets, dont be thinking training like ronnie coleman is going to get you big, hes on crazy juice.
For example, a muscle group such as biceps, i know this is the only muscle group some gym goers will hit will be like.
Chinups (add weight if needed) 3x4-6
Standing barbell curl 3x4-6
Incline Dumbell Curl 3x4-6
Muscle group DONE! don't go back to it for a week or youll be overtraining. |
Ok. What's the best thing to eat before a workout, to give the energy required so that you don't feel like "urgh" halfway through and want to feck off home? Glucose? ____________________ "There's the horizon! Ride hard, ride fast and cut down all who stand in your way!" |

Throw a teaspoon of honey in there to take away the blandness. I also add a bit of protein powder to the mix as well both for added flavour and the fact that it provides a little protein kickstart to the day. It's amazing how much it fills you up, I can go 4-5 hours before even beginning to feel hungry, great stuff, cheap too.

Paulington wrote: | My FitDay account tells me I am eating on average 150g of horleys protein per day, recently however I've been bumping that up to around 180g as I need it to maintain muscle mass, my diet makeup is:
40% Protein
42% Fats
18% Carbs.
Which is perfect as I am trying to cut down at the moment.
I weigh 175lbs btw.
I use no protein powders, no protein shakes or anything like that, the only thing I DO use is a multivitamin to make sure I get my Vit D, C and A etc.
I work out Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and on Wednesdays I swim, Sunday is my only day off from the gym. My workouts generally consist of an hour or so of lifting and half hour-hour of medium intensity cardio.
It all depends on what you want to achieve, if you are trying to lose weight, eat a decent amount of protein but not the 1.5g/lb most sites say, if you are trying to get huge from muscle, eat more protein.
HTH! . |
Hello,
Thank you for sharing your workout story here.
I would like to tell you that I have a whey protein powder that I use after the workout. Whey protein powder is a perfect option to increase our muscle mass easily. I've been using this protein powder since last 2 years. And It has lots of benefits.
Thanks

I'm pretty sure that if you empty a can of expanding foam cavity insulation up your arse, your whey powder will leave you feeling fuller for longer. ____________________ Chances are quite high you are not in my Monkeysphere, and I don't care about you. Don't take it personally.
