What happened to that phase where they lashed the exhausts under the bellypan?

I liked that but it seems its died out quickly!

I think the whole bike looks odd really. The seat/rear plastics are ok if you like sitting on a hard-on... well that's what it looks like to me Neutral

I prefer something with a bit of presence, newer sports bikes look like wee toys.

I remember reading somewhere that a brand new exhaust system fo rthe 2010 thou cost five grand! Bloody ridiculous! Think it was PB i read it in. Half the retail price of the bike!

Yep I read that too.

You can have a full Akra system for < £1.5k, or the OEM system for close to £5k.

Don't like the look of the latest GSX-Rs at all. Pointlessly over designed and too busy. The nose especially looks like it's snorted more than its fair share of cocaine.

Other manufacturers are similarly guilty of late but the Suzuki is the worst for me. Much prefer functional aesthetics with simple, bold lines.

The whole bike looks like it's being thrown forward under heavy braking...
and the exhaust looks like it's been taken from somewhere else, completely as an afterthought. It really doesn't fit with the angular style of the rest of the bike.
As already mentioned, I much preferred the underslung / stubby style of can from previous year(s)

nice comments guys.

i personally think its a bad design however the bike itself is quite cool. it would look a lot better in stealth black.......

if i bought it i would immediately change the exhaust to the 2000 model.

by the way how do you know what a whales cock looks like? lol Razz

you would change to a 2000 models exhaust..... err why?

all of the thous are bad, the older models look a lot better imo,
(regressive styling?)
seems like ugly stock exhaust are a small print requirement in the new emission's regs

the r1 is probably the least offensive,
but the euro bikes are the lookers now days

thats what i mean. 2000 is old now you know......

ok what i meant was before they introduced stubby's, that kind of exhaust.

i prefer the long race cans
