Hi guys, need some advice if possible, i have just gone to dvla today with my daylight mot, proof of idendity, and certificate of newness from honda, the bike is booked in on tuesday for its inspection were im told they will measure the ground clearance and seat hight, they will then isue me with a tax disc and let me know the registration of the bike - does anyone know if i will be able to get a plate made straight away and ride that day or will i have to wait x amount of weeks for the log book v5 to come through?
Also does anyone know the best oil type to run in these engines and what amount is needed?

I can't see why you can't get a plate made up. As long as you can find somewhere that'll make you one without a v5.

Might have to do one on eBay and wait a couple of days for that.

No need to wait for the v5 which will follow in about a week.

Hi

Assuming it passes, you will need a few things to get a registration plate made up. From memory the certificate they give you (temp one until the V5C comes through) and 2 forms of ID (although my local bike shop still refused to make one up, the local Halfords made it up on the spot).

All the best

Keith

Halfords made me one using only the new keeper's slip and my driving licence.

eBay ask me for nothing and normally take a day or two (and will cost you a fraction of the price).
