Just a heads-up... suddenly today whenever I posted my work's usual 'This website category is blocked by Websense: Webchat. https://www.bikechatforums.com/posting.php' messages pops up when I hit post.

I've been posting from work since joining no problems, and the most bizarre thing is that my posts still appeared.

I have no idea how sites get listed on these blocking things but so far able to continue using BCF. I do wonder if it's listed as 'webchat' because of the chat section?

You could try a less well known/newish proxy from www.proxy.org.

It probably recognises it as phpbb to be honest. What's weird is that it's still letting the http request all the way to the BCF server even though it comes back saying you're "blocked from chatting online".

It's now entirely blocked, can't even read posts. Still calls it 'webchat'.

What's odd is that every other forum I go on still works, with a variety of forum software powering each. This makes me wonder if it is in fact the chatroom thing. But on the other hand, one forum I go to is blocked if I use the main address ('games') but the alternative server given to me by the admin isn't.

Anyway, I don't know if this blocking is specific to Websense or my work or anything, just thought I'd pass it on.

At the risk of tempting fate, I post a lot more on one or two of those sites than I do BCF. They could probably cut non-work-related internet traffic in half across the entire company if they blocked eBay.

Huh. After two months of not being able to even view the site at all, now I'm here and able to see it again (and if this post shows up, able to post) but I can't use the search function as THAT is blocked!

It'll likely be all the links to porn/pics that get it denied. I could never use it at work either.
