I'm having one or two niggles with my brakes.

The front brake seems quite jerky when lightly braking for instance when coming close to a slow stop in traffic. I don't think its my brake hand that is causing it to happen as I am keeping the pressure constant. I was just wondering what it could be? The bike was serviced about 200 miles ago so I don't think its the brake pads running out.

Also the rear brake sometimes makes a screechy noise under braking I was also wondering what could be causing this?

Jerkyiness could be warped discs.

Is the lever pulsing in your hand as you brake? If it is the disc could be warped. Are you sure the jerkiness is brake related and not due to being in too high a gear and going too slowly?

As for the rear brake, if there's meat still on the pad, try putting some copperslip on the back of the pad.

No I can't feel any pulsating in the lever I did think it could be warped discs but because I wasn't feeling this I was thinking it wasn't? Could they still be jerking due to warped discs without the brake lever pulsating?

Yeah I have tried it with holding the clutch in as well and still the same thing.

Not been washing it over winter but still riding it? Or rode it then let it sit in the garage dirty?
Your bobbins on the disc could well be seized giving you the jerking motion, to clean them you need a bolt a nut and a drill, put bolt through bobbin tighten up with spanners, put drill on end and proceed to turn, spray lube of choice onto/into bobbin untill not black or dirty, free brakes, clean all lube off with brake cleaner and rag.
HTH.
If its not the obvious things first like somethings loose etc.
