After all these years, I'm finally getting back into biking!

The only bike that has caught my eye so far is a 07+ Aprilia Tuono. Unfortunately for me, they don't come cheap. Never the less I have a budget which I should be able to stick to and get a good bike for.

Now, the problem is, that budget puts me at 07 models. This means no matter the colour of the bike I would end up with blue wheels. As a result i'm completely put off all the colours except the blue and white.

Just not right is it?

Problem I'm having (with my impatience) is that blue and white in my budget seem pretty rare and all the ones I have been interested in are gone quick.

So, I might be able to buy a bike sooner rather than later if I decide to get one of the other colours and spray the wheels black (like they should of been). All depends on the costs.

So how much is it likely to set me back?

Thanks

About £100 for the acutally powdercoating but you can easily double that cost when you factor in taking the tire off and refitting, and replacing the bearings.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

I wouldn't be too happy about reusing a wheel bearing as taking them out requires alot of force.

I had mine painted at a wheel refurb place, including having new tyres fitted and having them balanced it was £60 for both to be done.

Hang on, you'd pay 100 quid to get everything removed from the wheels and put back in?

Laughing

I paid 10 quid now, 10 quid later! And I got new wheel bearings off ebay for a fiver.

I do need to find a good place to powdercoat my wheels... Don't want to send them off as that will cost money. Heard good things from triples coating but it'll cost an extra 60 quid or so jut to post. Neutral
