(1) - I have just got my renewed insurance policy in; with EU cover on it now Very Happy !!!

However it lists the countries that it is valid in, but not all the places I want to go are covered on it. Sad

I heard something on here a wee while ago that the EU directives countries are included as well, but can't seem to find out which ones are included in this?

Anyone know?

Basically looking for Poland, Croatia and Litchenstein, since Switzerland (which I originally thought would be a problem is actually noted on the policy.)

(2) - Ideally I do not want to take too much motorways, but I have just been looking into it (just incase I need to make up time anywhere along the trip).

I have searched online and can only seem to find this:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toll_roads_in_Europe

However, it doesn't say anything about Germany on there. I found another site and it says that Germany has NO toll charges for bikes/cars, etc; just for HGVs on motorways. Is this true ???
However on some A class roads they have a toll system (GmbH ???) in place (most notably the Nurburgring) which cars have to pay. Confused

Any help on these matters, much appreciated.

Cheers Thumbs Up

I think the Nurburgring is the only real one - and that's because it's effectively a public race track - and this is why a lot of insurance companies make an exception for it commenting on toll roads of a certain type or whatever.

you didn't need to change your policy to get EU cover as every UK policy is valid at least TPO in the EU, Norway, Switzerland, Croatia, Iceland etc..

No tolls in Germany Very Happy
